The first!

Hello all.

I shall start by introducing myself: My name is Adam Best, and I am 18 years old. I am a Student, studying at Totton College, hoping to break into the filmaking or Gaming industry.

During my childhood, one thing was always constant - a love for Video games. It started  on a NES, owned by my Mother with ExciteBike, Fuelled by a love for Pokemon and Gameboy, and now has influenced my choice of life, study and the people who I call friends and family. Currently, I kick ass and take names (in my mind) on Xbox Live, and on the NWFC.

...In short, as a gamer, there is nothing imparticulary special about me. If you where to see me walking down a street, I would easily fit the description at hand - Overweight, hair flowing in glorious golden locks, rather immature attitude and a sense of humour that embodies cynicism and black comedy rather well. 

Basically, I'm a gamer.

I know, I am far from the first self described Gamer to take their hobby to the blogs, and I can't say I'm expecting to be the last either. 

So, what would you catch me playing most of the time?

I have recently reinvigorated a real passion for 2D fighting games (Originally in the form of Super Smash Bros.), in the form of Street Fighter IV (And of course, the revision Super Street Fighter IV) in which I main Cammy. I would describe myself as slightly above average, so don't expect l33t pro play from me. 

I have another love, in the form of the Horror game - Resident Evil is a favourite series, and for the current gen, Dead Space has earned a special place in my heart. In short, I am MASSIVE zombie fanboy (DEAD RISING = WIN)

Would you catch me playing the expected first/third person shooters of the current generation? Sure! I have a long running love affair with the Battlefield series, and have had my fair share of fun with Gears of War (Gun. With. CHAINSAWS).  I dislike the Call of Duty series, I prefer actually following the objectives (flamebait)  and using teamwork to win, so Battlefield and Left 4 Dead 1/2 are natural fits for me.

In future posts, I will talk about my daily tribulations as a gamer - I hope to Update at least once a week, and I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoy writing them
